What can treatment do for you?

Do you remember a time when going out to social activities or getting close to someone didn’t create anxiety or distress?

What would it be like if you could change and your past experiences stopped impacting you?

I help adults reconnect with their values and sense of self after the impact of trauma.

Many of my clients want to return to social settings without fear, build trusting relationships, and shift how they relate to themselves. Together, we work on recognizing and challenging unhelpful thoughts shaped by trauma—so they can take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live.

What are the first steps?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating—especially when trauma is involved.

Many people feel anxious about opening up, and some put off reaching out for longer than they’d like.

I understand how hard that first step can be. That’s why I take a collaborative approach to treatment—so you feel comfortable, informed, and in control every step of the way.

In our first session, we’ll talk about what life looks like for you now and how you’d like it to be.

We’ll explore how trauma may be contributing to the challenges you’re facing, and identify the goals that matter most to you. These goals will help guide our work together. Throughout the process, we’ll check in on progress, make adjustments if needed, and choose treatment options that align with your needs and values.

Who I am

I am dedicated to helping people heal from trauma.

You deserve to work with someone who truly understands the impact of trauma. My training in the treatment of PTSD and trauma means I bring the expertise needed to support real healing. And at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who gets what it’s like to live in a state of avoidance.

I’ve devoted my career to helping people who’ve experienced trauma—and I know that taking the first step is often the hardest part. When we work together, you won’t get a one-size-fits-all approach. Your treatment will be tailored to you—to your level of readiness, your goals, and what feels manageable for where you are in your process.

Experience and Education
– PhD Clinical Psychology
– Licensed in Michigan and Colorado
– Postdoctoral Fellowship in PTSD and trauma focused therapies

I’m a clinical psychologist licensed in Colorado and Michigan.

I earned my PhD from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2019, where I focused my research and clinical training on trauma and physical health. After graduation, I completed a year-long postdoctoral fellowship specializing in the treatment of PTSD and trauma-related concerns.

Since then, I’ve returned to the Midwest and have continued to support individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and stress-related issues. My approach to therapy is evidence-based, which means I use treatments grounded in research while also honoring your preferences and lived experience.

I take a collaborative, person-centered approach and am trained in a variety of treatment modalities, so we can find what best fits your needs and goals. Outside of my work, I love spending time with my children, husband, and extended family.

You’ll often find me at the beach, exploring hiking trails, biking, baking sweet treats, or winding down with a good show. I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your goals—so we can work together to help you reconnect with what matters most and move toward the life you want to live.
